There’s a proven lack of resources, training support, and work-spaces for Artists, and Freelancers in growing, close knit cities, to upgrade their skills, access regional markets and fulfill their potential as the primary element of today’s workforce. Thus, there’s a need for an organization that orients and supports them to enter the Arts and culture-based industries growing in and around New York, enable new bodies of work to be produced and provide Artists and community members opportunities to access the learning experience and acquire the entrepreneurial skills required to proceed in these careers.

By 2020, freelance workers will make up about 40% of the US workforce. Qualitative data highlights fears that, despite work to improve our communal well-being, upkeep and learning systems through research and experimentation, educated, qualified, and trained inner-city artists and creative workers are struggling to connect with the financially viable and sustaining opportunities that develop their team and artistic skills.  This causes a valuable human capital to fall short of their expectations in their capacity to add value in their communities.
